The Office of the First Deputy Prime Minister was established in March 2013 following the appointment of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince as First Deputy Prime Minister.

The website aims to highlight the OFDPM key initiatives in prioritizing and supporting the implementation of a series of projects in the Kingdom of Bahrain, while communicating The Office news and development activities.
